I guess I’m used to hearing story songs.I began with Woody Guthrie,Bob Dylan,Gordon Lightfoot,Tom Rush on and on….and then Rock! Then I found the blues! I have heard your songs with a full band…..upbeat!! As a guitar playing streetsingerI have found to get folks to listen you must ‘invite ‘ them in!
My older brother once told me:”if it ain’t got the swing it ain’t got a thing!”He used to deliver heroin to Janis Joplin in San Francisco(sad,I know.)And listeners love to hear the words .Nothing wrong with covers.
